About Me

Hi I’m Carli, wife and proud mother of my 2 little monkeys McKenzie and Maddison…… hence “Mac & Maddy”

From leaving college with my qualifications in design and display I always knew that I wanted to do something creative and not your average 9-5 job. I was always trying new and different projects like picture framing, card making, a bit of beaded jewellery and did even make some silver wedding bands for my dear mum who is no longer with us. I always loved to re-design and decorate our houses too, this used to drive my husband mad! But now I have settled down and love our beautiful house in a little village in Bedfordshire.

I have worked for two big retail chains in visual merchandising and window display and was able to be a bit creative within these roles but had to do those horrible hours and horrible journeys yuk ! Then my first bundle of joy came along in 2007 and I really did not want to go back to that, and actually found that it wasn’t worth me going back.

I was lucky to have a few years off and in May 2010 was when my life changed with the finding of Victoria from the keepsake company. My friend and I then set up MacnMollie and had an amazing 5 and a half years growing and learning so many things. In 2014 I had my second little monster which changed my world again…for the good! and in 2016 was when I set up Mac & Maddy, so looking forward to a new chapter.

I love going to work every day now and being able to create such personal pieces for people to treasure …..can’t get much more rewarding than that!
